Samir Nassr, President In 2007, after years of serving as a Scientist at Chronogen Inc, MDS Pharma Services, Aegera Therapeutics and Cirion , Samir Nassr founded Eliapharma Services Inc. He saw the need for a local company that provides customized and personalized solutions, specializing in the area of drug discovery and development, at a high level of scientific excellence.
Nicolas Nassr, CA, CPA, CFO Nicolas has an extensive background in banking, administration, accounting, finance and management. This experience is supplemented by broad skills in customer relationship which brought to the company its financial stability and well growth.
George Faria , Business Development
George Faria brings more than 15 years of experience in the Contract Research Organization (CRO) in the Pharmaceutical industry in Bioanalytical Services. He began his career in 1995 at Phoenix International Life Sciences (PILS), which became MDS Pharma Services (MDS PS), occupying various positions of increasing responsibility including R&D Scientist and Team Leader. In 2004 he joined Warnex as Team Leader and was promoted to Project Manager. In 2010 he became an Independent Consultant until joining EliaPharma in 2011. Mr. Faria holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Concordia University (Montreal, QC, Canada).
MAMER, Orval Albert, Ph.D., Scientific Advisor
Dr Mamer is one of the pioneers of mass spectrometry in North America. He has Ph.D. from the University of Windsor, 1966, in Physical-Organic Chemistry.
He has extensive experience in:
1. Application of mass spectrometry to clinical diagnosis and metabolic profiling.
2. Development of techniques and methods useful in detecting and understanding new inherited and acquired metabolic diseases.
3. Elucidation of biochemical pathways of amino acid and fatty acid metabolism using stable isotope labelling and mass spectrometry.
4. Derivatization and other modifications applied to small molecules, peptides and proteins for the purpose of enhancing their detection and quantitation at extremely low concentrations by mass spectrometry. Click to see publications.
